Professional Profile

Engr. Sani Bala Danbatta is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in public utility management and power infrastructure projects. His career is marked by a deep commitment to public service and a passion for leveraging technology to solve developmental challenges.

Appointed as the Managing Director of the Kano State Rural Electrification Board (REB), Engr. Sani Bala Danbatta brings a wealth of knowledge in project management, grid modernization, and renewable energy integration. Prior to his current role, he held several key positions within the state's engineering and infrastructure sectors, where he was instrumental in the planning and execution of numerous successful projects.

Vision for REB Kano

Under his leadership, the REB is focused on three core pillars:

• Accelerated Grid Expansion: Fast-tracking projects like the 2025 transformer distribution to connect more communities.
• Sustainability and Renewables: Exploring and implementing solar mini-grids and other renewable solutions for off-grid areas to ensure a sustainable energy future.
• Digital Transformation: Enhancing operational efficiency and public engagement through digital tools like the Transformer Digital Registry and online application portals.
